2019 brings a sizable number of Baby Boomers who are proactively planning on remodeling their master bath to be safer as well as functional and aesthetic. As people age, feeling independant and self-reliant is very important. Everyone wants to live in their own home as long as possible.
This can be accomplished by changing bathroom layouts, replacing bathtubs with showers that have non-skid tile and low or no curbs, hand-help shower fixtures, several grab bars at convenient locations and a comfortable shower bench are some of the necessities that should be addressed when remodeling.
I would suggest using a designer who has experience in working with projects for “Aging in Place” would be a very wise investment.
